Animal Ambassadors

Since October 2015, Airport Foundation has brought registered therapy dogs to MSP to delight travelers, reduce stress, and enhance the airport experience. The program has grown into one of the largest of its kind in the country and has become a valued part of the MSP community. 

Our Animal Ambassadors can be found throughout the airport bringing smiles to travelers and employees alike.   

Requirements to Join: 

All therapy animals and handlers must hold current certification with either Pet Partners or Alliance of Therapy Dogs.

Therapy animals must be: 

• Privately owned by the handler for at least three months 

• At least one year old 

• Active in therapy work with a minimum of one visit every three months 

Teams commit to a minimum of 2 shifts per month. Shifts are typically 1.5 hours.
